Database and Systems Administrator

REPORTS TO: Vice President for Programs

FULL TIME / PART TIME: Full-Time

EXEMPT / NON-EXEMPT: Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field
  • Minimum of two years of experience in database administration
  • Proven working knowledge of relational databases, including data entry, administration, and report creation
  • Experience creating and generating reports from relational database platforms, including exporting data and creating dashboards/views in Excel
  • Experience with the Salesforce platform, preferred
  • Salesforce.com Admin (ADM201 and ADM211) certified, a plus
  • Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Developer certifications, a plus
  • Knowledge of assistive technology a plus

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as primary system administrator for CVI’s client database with 50 users
  • Handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows and other routine tasks
  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades
  • Manage system data feeds and other integrations
  • Coordinate the evaluation, scope and completion of new development requests.
  • Work with our Senior and Leadership Teams to establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities
  • Design and implement training for new users, and grow the database system skill set across the organization
  • Effectively act as the liaison between our users, vendors and the application development teams
  • Work independently with members of the user community to define and document development requirements
  • Ensure data security and integrity
  • Develop and implement processes for ongoing system evaluation and, when indicated, initiate process for the exploration and acquisition of alternative systems
